However, that feeling of warmth and carefreeness was somewhat dimmed by the feeling that somewhere, Yori was lying in Sickbay, something completely wrong. She touched her face, it was a reminder to her of how wrong things were. But somehow, there was some other feeling in her, a feeling of warmth, and that made all her concerns and worries dim. Her commbadge sparked to life. =^= Actun to Arianna =^= "Arianna here, go ahead" =^= We have found what caused the Commander's change in behaviour. An alien artefact hidden inside his quarters was found. It's in the hands of the Scientists for further analyses. Security will investigate how it ended up in Commander Yori's quarters. =^= There was a momentary pause, Lise was about to say something else but instead Actun continued. =^= This would conclude my part of the investigation. I will now concentrate on searching for similar incidents as you mentioned before. I've also asked Lieutenant Isengard to inform me if they find any link or something or someone outside Geneva. =^= "Very good Commander. Thank you." Lise responded, her tone suddenly clipped and professional. "Continue to keep me apprised of the situation." <> "Arianna out." Lise kept walking, the results of this conversation weighing heavily on her mind. Something had infiltrated Yori's mind? How had that been possible? And when did it start? Was last night..,.. Yori or, had the device been activated then? There were now even more questions that needed answering. And.. she reasoned, that the answers were not likely to occur anytime soon. She frowned. Feeling sorry for herself wasn't the answer, she had a meeting to get to, and several other things to do. And so, Lise pressed on. "Oh, be bold, Ensign. Be very bold if you feel that you need to be," the Captain said with a grin. Well, Captain, if they need a good Helmsman then you have me if I am needed? Sir. the Ensign said. "I will definitely keep that in mind, Ensign. But my thoughts on what kind of actions I think we should take, I would like to discuss with you all after we have made sure that we all know what we're dealing with. As for you, Ensign," Aragorn said, turning to the TAC/ASC, "I get the distinct impression that you are Romulan." Vladek smiled. "You remind me of another Romulan I once met. Enarrain Kalpek Doth. She was high-strung, utterly arrogant, but in the end did what was necessary. I remember her fondly. You're not related to her, are you?" ~ At last someone that wants to know more about me ~ thought Vladek in replying "No Sir, in fact I'm related to nobody, I was discovered as a baby with my dead parents in the scout ship by a federation starship, I've been adopted by the TAC/SC who had raised me like his own son so despite my appearance I'm more human than Romulan." "But anyway, be advised, Ensign, that there will be people on board who cannot distinguish between a Starfleet officer with Romulan features and a Romulan spy. Things might become a bit difficult for you. But please rest assured that I'll regard you as a most trusted officer until you show me otherwise. As for your vessel, I really would like to have a look at it. I was unaware of this and this surprise might just tip the balance slightly in our favour. However, I would like to see more people becoming familiar with your ship. Can you prepare a guided tour for me, Commander Arianna, Ensign.... Wilson, was it? And your boss, of course." "Sure Captain, I'll be honoured to show you all her capacities but before that I must transfer the ship from the Boudicca to one of the station's shuttlebay, perhaps Mr Wilson could help me, he seemed so impatient to pilot something." Vladek replied in turning to Wilson. (Reply Wilson, any) (Posted by Patrick Buidin) **** (Starbase Geneva, Conference Room,Conn Ensign Wilson,15:21) "Sure Captain, I'll be honoured to show you all her capacities but before that I must transfer the ship from the Boudicca to one of the station's shuttle bay, perhaps Mr Wilson could help me, he seemed so impatient to pilot something." Vladek replied to the captain and then turned to face John. John then replied feeling quite self-conscious about being in a room surrounded by people. "It would be my pleasure; my shoulder is fine now. I will organise a bay to be cleared right now if that is all Captain?" John asked ready to get on with his new job. <> "Shall we then Mr Rofellian?" John said gesturing to the door. <> John then began to walk out of the room followed by Vladek. **** (Starbase Geneva - Conference Room - CO - Captain Aragorn - 15:25) "Hi, Captain. I'm Ensign Roft. The BRAND NEW counselor of this station. " Aragorn, a smile playing around his lips, looked in the direction of the voice and saw a Bolian standing up, looking at him. "I take it you were a counselor as well, somewhere in your career. You invited crew to ask help from you and me. I don't want you to exclude yourself from that invitation. My door is open to you too. Don't take offense in what I say. I'm merely implying that everyone needs someone to talk to from time to time and I would be glad to help in any way." For a moment, Aragorn was taken aback by the 'bluntness' of the 'attack'. Then his smile appeared again. "You have every right to mention that fact, Ensign," he started. "Now, I know from my own personal experiences, that people tend to regard a meeting with a counselor as proof of the fact that they are mad or fear that others will think that you are mad, simply because you have a meeting with the counselor." "Now in my case, we don't need a meeting to ascertain whether or not I am mad. I know I am, at least according to the 'standard' human standards. And one thing I do not, is to conform to the 'standard' human standards. But enough of me for now. I thank you for your invitation. Oh, and by the way, do you enjoy a good beer? Just so I know what I have to bring for our first meeting. I am afraid we won't be really talking 'shop' then, you see? I see my wife little enough when I am on duty, and she basically forces me to tell her everything afterwards. She means well, I guess." Aragorn grinned broadly. "Anyway, seeing that I have heard from almost everybody, here is what we have to do." Aragorn looked around the room. "Seeing that Starfleet has decided not to inform us, I think we can safely assume that anybody who is mentioning the Nimitz to anyone of you must be up to something. So I would suggest that if somebody contacts you, other that the people in this room, you smile at them and use your commbadge to contact mister Isengard. The message should be that the proposed meeting cannot take place yet and that it will be reconvened at a later date. That will then warn the Security staff of a possible incursion. Do you think we should act immediately and interrogate the person who asked the question, Lieutenant Isengard?" (Reply Walker). Aragorn nodded. "Ok, next thing on the agenda. If the Nimitz makes it over here, it will have to be repaired. Now as I understand it, we are not that well stocked with Engineers, especially ones that can oversee such a large operation. Mr. Pitt, I am afraid I have to ask you to put on your Engineering uniform again and oversee the repairs of that ship. Please make sure that everything is ready for when she gets in. Since we won't be able to get her into our drydock, thanks to the size of it, it might be best to start training the Engineers so they can use environmental suits and have some experience with working in zero g. I expect that there will be some workbees to assist you, but most likely not enough." (Reply Dirk) "Now if the ship is being repaired, the crew won't be able to stay onboard. Therefore we must make room for the Nimitz crew to sleep on the base. Now if my information is correct, the base holds at present 325 persons. Some of them are in transfer, some of them are traders, but they are ALL taking up space. Now the complement of the Nimitz was about 700 people. So we will have to find a way to house 700 people, make sure that we can provide them with food and beverages and anything else that they need. Unfortunately the Starbase can only hold a maximum of 1000 people. So it is safe to say that things will become cramped. Mr. Arianna, I have to pass this job over to you. Tear down any walls that you think you need, turn the holodecks into dormitories. The only place that you aren't allowed to use will be the medical facilities." (Reply Lise) "Because, Dr." Aragorn turned to the medical officer, "You will have your work cut out for you as well. I am pretty sure that the ship will hold many patients, some of them they were able to help, but some of them they couldn't help. You will have to use your staff and facilities and prepare them for the coming onslaught." (Reply Francais) "Which brings me to the next possible problem area. The mental health of the Nimitz crew. Limping home isn't doing crew morale any favours. Being attacked and heavily damaged doesn't either. So I expect that the Nimitz crew will be in need of counselling and activities to take their mind of things. Mr. Roft, I will leave that ball in your court." (Reply Tap) "That basically concludes what we can do for the Nimitz at the moment. But we have other worries too. Possible Romulan incursions for one. Just remember that the RSE had about 5 months to draw their plans and that means they can have done a lot. However, no reason for us to make life easy for them. Mr. Isengard, double watch for all security personnel. Also make sure that our defences are ready for the moment that we would need them. I doubt that two mark 10 phasers will be a serious threat to anybody, but you never know." (Reply Walker) "Mr. Wilson! Seeing that you re our flyboy, make sure that all our secondary vessels are able to launch at a moments notice, including the Oberth that I have seen lying about here somewhere. I want to use them just before the Nimitz arrives to conduct a tachyon sweep of the whole area. This way, if there is any cloaked vessel, we will find it." (Reply John) "That reminds me, Mr Lantsa, I want you to configure the sensors so that we will have a continuous scan of our surroundings for space dust distribution and ion gas concentrations. Romulan cloaking technology does not make the ships under cloak loose their mass. So wherever a cloaked ship is flying it will push aside the particles that are in space, like gas molecules and space dust like the wake of a ship. have the sensors look out for those space matter concentrations. It will give us a continuous warning whether or not there is a cloaked vessel about. Of course, we know that the ship uses ionised gas for it's propulsion at sub-light speeds, but since we have used that to found cloaked vessels before, they might have come up with a defence against it. Mr. Lee, I want you to assist the Operations Officer with reconfiguring the sensors." (Reply Tianna, Sasha) "Also, Mr. Lee, I want you to assist Commander Actun with his search. It is too much of a coincidence that the former CO was taken down, just as the Nimitz was about to return. Mr. Actun, please continue with your line of investigation." (Reply Sasha, Actun) Aragorn looked over his assembled staff. "Ok, guys, let's bring this show on the road! And remember, not a word to this to the public. If they ask you difficult questions, make up some answers. Dismissed!" Everyone filed out of the room and Aragorn took the opportunity to have a breather. When he re-opened his eyes he saw that the Admiral had not left. She approached him and said with a stern voice: "Captain. I would like to discuss this information that you have discovered and discussed at this meeting. Please report to my office at 1900 hours this evening. That should give you time to prepare your materials for my review." "I will see you then, Captain," she said as she walked out of the room, leaving Aragorn to grunt. Sighing, he tapped his commbadge. "Captain Aragorn to First Officer. Mr. Arianna, you will have to do me a favour. Could you................?" (reply none) (Starbase Geneva - outside Conference Room - CO - Captain Aragorn - 15:45) "Captain?" Aragorn turned round and looked at the strange Starfleet officer that had addressed him. "Yes, Commander?" he answered back after a look at the rank pips. "Sir, I am Richard Ian Lee. I have important information for you. Is there somewhere where we could talk undisturbed?" Frowning Aragorn looked over the officer. "I guess we could go to my Ready Room," he said. "Will that do?" The officer nodded and Aragorn led him to it. (Starbase Geneva - Ready Room - CO - Captain Aragorn - 15:55) "Ok, Mr. Lee," Aragorn said as he sat down behind his desk. His hand played with the book that was lying on the table. It was his present for Lise. ~She must have left it behind because she didn't want to take it to the meeting.~ "Ok, so where's the fire?" he asked the Commander." And why is it so hush-hush?" The Commander licked his lips. "At the moment, the Nimitz is a dangerous subject, Sir." Aragorn's eyes narrowed for a second, then he smiled. "Ahh, I see.Oh please excuse me, I just remembered something." He said apologetically as his hand touched the commbadge. "Captain to Mr. Isengard. I am sorry to say this but the proposed meeting cannot take place yet. It will be reconvened at a later date. Please inform me when you are ready, I am in my Ready Room at the moment." (Reply Walker, R.I.Lee) **** (Starbase Geneva - Transporter Room 1 - Ensign Gordon Fledridge - 1610) Gordon watched as the bluish/white light faded around him, and the Geneva transporter room became clear. He could scarcely believe the last couple of days, from his whirlwind training session to his graduation and immediate posting as an Engineer on Geneva station. He hadn't even had a chance to call his father back home and tell him the news, and already he found himself standing in the middle of a transporter pad, scarcely aware of what to do next. With a quick nod at the transporter control panel, he strode swiftly out of the room, anxious to meet up with the CO. ~Hopefully that wasn't too rude,~ he thought in passing, as he reached the turbolift door. The doors slid open, and he stepped through. "Deck 13," he said, and the turbolift began gliding upwards. ~Remember to stand straight, don't mumble, and pretend like you're not about to vomit up your Adam's Apple~. The doors slid open, and he strode down the hallway. Upon reaching the door marked "Commanding Officer", he pushed the call button, and the doors slid open immediately. Seated at a desk in front of him was a man with brownish/red hair and brown eyes. He looked at him sternly, and Gordon snapped to attention. "Junior Ensign - ah - I mean, Ensign Junior Grade Fledridge reporting for duty." He paused, and then remembered himself: "Sir! Uh.. oh, God. Sorry, Sir. Ensign Fledridge reporting for duty, Sir." ~Nice. Maybe you should throw your PADD at him, too. That'll impress him.~ Gordon sighed inwardly, and closed his eyes. (reply Aragorn) (posted by Dave Robinet) **** (Starbase Geneva, Shuttle bay 1, Conn Ensign Wilson, 15:55) John and Vladek walked along the shuttle bay heading towards the control room; John walked over to a crewman standing near a runabout running test. "Parak," John shouted over the sounds of shuttles being repaired. "Sir how may I help you?" Parak Replied "Can you have the main area cleared of that Danube you are getting a new toy to have a play with, Move the Danube to bay 2, Ok." John said "Aye Sir," Parak Replied "Oh and tell Grei, Papavich and Osalanger they need all the shuttles ready to go by 16:00," John said Parak nodded and Started to move off towards the cockpit of the Danube Shuttle. John turned around to face Vladek. "I am clearing a space on this deck if you have got no problem with that, this deck is already Federation only and we can have security brought down here if you want to be safer." John yelled over the noises. <> John pointed towards a door to the back of the hanger they began to move off towards it. (Starbase Geneva, Shuttle Bay 1, Control Section, Conn Ensign Wilson 16:00) John moved over to the computer panel over looking the bay and sat down John keyed in a command into the panel and the doors began to open, John then pushed another button and spoke. "All hands clear the Flight deck," John said over the comm. link. The Danube shuttle began to take off and head out of the bay, it slid out of the doors and out into space. "Right Mr Rofellian, do you want to go and get your ship then?" John asked. <> "Good we will take a shuttle pod there is a couple moored in this section;" John motioned towards the door. (Starbase Geneva, Shuttle Pod 1 on-route to USS Boudicca, Conn Wilson, 16:05) John sat at the pilot's seat keying in commands looking forward out into space, John continued to look forward but spoke to Vladek. "So raised by security, that had to be tough," John said trying to make conversation with Vladek. <> "Well, what do you know about this scout ship, I have never come up close with one in real life." John said. <> "Is it totally operational?" John asked wanted to know what to expect. <> "Can I ask you for a favour then?" John Spoke again, John had wanted to ask this question since he had found out about the Shuttle. John had become like a kid when they knew Christmas was on the way. <> "Can my lads have a look at your shuttle and scan it do tests all of that only if you approve, Feel free to say no but they would kill me if I did not ask at least ask you," John said awaiting A response. <> " Oh and call me John, Wilson is so Erm... Impersonal," John said wanting to feel more relaxed around his new colleague. John turned the shuttle pod and saw the USS Boudicca, ~Ok that is quite a big ship, ~ John thought to himself feeling quite impressed by the size of the ship and at the same time dwarfed in his little pod. "Is the Ship in bay one or two, Vladek ?"John said. <> "Right Two it is," John spoke and keyed in the docking protocols the shuttle pod slid into the ship gently and came to a stop. (USS Boudicca, Shuttle Bay Two, Conn Ensign Wilson, 16:30) John stood up Vladek already two steps ahead of him. They both stepped out into the Shuttle bay John looked around. ~HA my shuttle bays are bigger than Yours are, Take that you smug Vulcan, ~ John thought to himself. Vladek was already over at the Romulan Vessel John walked over to him. "So that's the Lady I have herd so much about," John said acting like a Kid around a present. << Reply Vladek>> Vladek opened up the vessel and they both stepped inside of it John walked around and sat over where Vladek Gestured. John looked down at the panel. "Did I fail to mention that my Romulan reading skills are lacking," John said noticing the slight smile Vladek cracked? <> John then watched as Vladek contacted the Bridge to request permission to launch. The Romulan vessel then cut through into space and towards the Geneva. John moved his hands over the controls gently maneuvering the vessel through space carefully watched by Vladek. (Reply Aragorn, Rofellian, Any) (Posted By Richard Bowes) **** (Shuttle Craft Outside Starbase Geneva, SPC Vicki Sevant, 17.00) "Jayne you sit down this instant, can't you see that you're annoying the pilot, and he's repeatedly asked you to SIT DOWN!!!" Vicki rose her voice on the last bit. She was beginning to get cabin fever for more than one reason. Her travel from Earth with the two children should have been peaceful. She was in a time of mourning, as she had lost her mother recently. This should have been a time when family stuck together - Well, not entirely. Vicki consistently berated herself, as it was entirely her fault that things had unfolded as they had. She looked over at her sweet eight year old child to see... a girl, with dyed black hair, make up to make her skin look pale, a nose ring and a tattoo that branded her as a part of a group - and not a very nice group at that. This is what Jayne had become and Vicki couldn't believe that it had happened under her very own eyes. Vicki hadn't dealt well with her mother's death. Everything in the world was becoming so difficult, she longed for their paradi- She stopped her thought. She had to be strong, there was no way that she could let herself think like that, it would only lead to disaster. Her mother had been so ill, and Vicki had stayed by her side. T'Loren stayed by her side in turn, but Jayne, was restless. She didn't want to be cooped up in an old house with some old dying woman that she hardly knew, and she didn't want to make the effort to get to know her grandmother. This disturbed Vicki beyond all doubt. But, luckily, for her, (or so she thought at the time) one of Vicki's cousins who had kids a little older than Jayne said that she could mind Jayne for a while. Vicki was so grateful, she could hardly deal with her own mother's death and T'Loren and Jayne who was always restless. Vicki had asked T'Loren if she wanted to go with her sister, but T'Loren was always the shyer of the two girls, and she wanted merely to remain at Vicki's side. Jayne however jumped at the chance. She got to see kids! How much better could that be. Vicki berated herself. It had been years since she'd had such associations with the family and amidst all her grief and struggle she'd neglected to check out this cousin and her family, she had merely assumed that because they were family and that her cousin had made such a kind offer, that everything would be okay - It was not. Jayne had packed her belongings within a half hour and was out like a shot with Cousin Maureen. Vicki, was grateful, as she went back to tending her mother, T'Loren never wavering from her side. Vicki wasn't an irresponsible parent, she didn't think, she called to check up on Jayne twice or three times daily, she talked to Cousin Maureen, and Jayne in turn, and Jayne seemed to be having ever so much fun. However, that fun was linked to a higher issue. Cousin Maureen's children were involved in a drug trading ring. They were working for drug lords, running deliveries from one place to another. When Jayne was 'going out to play with them' she wasn't just doing the normal childhood things like playing with the hover scooter at the park, or what not. She was making deliveries for the Et Altapa drug ring. And that was when it had started, the change in hair colour, they hall had the same dyed black hair look. The nose ring, a sing of status and induction, and the tattoo, the key to their membership. Jayne had become a member of a drug ring. Shortly after Jayne went to stay at Cousin Maureen's Vicki's mother had died. Vicki was heartbroken. She grieved for days and days, her was almost blind to the world around her. So blind in fact that when her eight, almost nine-year-old daughter showed up to the funeral with her hood of her coat drawn up she didn't see that her hair had been cut and dyed in a specific fashion. Vicki scolded herself time and time again, it was all her fault she should never have let Jayne go. She looked across at the girl who rolled her eyes, and wore clothing that was way beyond her years. Although eight, Jayne dressed as if she was fourteen or fifteen. Vicki shook her head. She'd tried to get Jayne to change her clothes, tried to get her to change her attitude, but she was still so angry with Vicki for having kidnapped her from her friends and 'new family' that she would do nothing to help her. That was what Vicki had to do. Jayne was becoming inducted into this complex ring fast. She was everything desirable, young, quick and she had talent. They didn't want to let her go. On the other hand, there was no way in H**L that Vicki was going to lose her daughter. And so, she got together, an uncle and another family friend, an together, the three of them went after Jayne. Jayne had been left to make a delivery of her own (her first sign of complete acceptance and trust) on a remote planet. The members of Et Altapa had merely dropped her off and stated that they would collect her after the time had past. However, there was someone else waiting for her. Vicki and her uncle and friend grabbed Jayne and then fought their way back to Earth. It had been the most trying time of Vicki's life. Jayne had kicked and screamed and even bit Vicki. All the while Vicki had to be strong, and had to be firm with Jayne. She was NOT going back there was no way that that ring was going to have HER daughter. Not while she was still alive. That had been questioned though when Jayne had pulled a knife on Vicki and had tried to stab her. After the encounter, and Jayne had been sent to her room, Vicki was literally in tears, there was no way that she could deal with this monster that had become her daughter. She thought instinctively of calling Cally on subspace. But she knew that she could not. He would have wanted that but, she couldn't bring herself to admit what a failure she was or had been with their eldest daughter. And there was hope, hope that she'd be able to straighten Jayne out before they got back to the Nimitz. She hoped. But now, here they were, at the docking bay of Starbase Geneva, due to rendezvous with the Nimitz very soon, and Jayne sat in her chair and chewed her bubble gum in a rather loud and rude fashion as she stared out the window, longing to be with her friends, with her 'real' family. Jayne glanced over at T'Loren's teddy bear. There was something special about it that only she knew. This was the way that she would make her mark, she would still have her 'family ' accept her, she knew it. All it would take would be a little more cunning and Jayne could handle that, she knew she could. If only her mother and her constant yammering would go away. It was always 'can't this' and 'can't that' whereas with the group elders it was always a situation of empowerment. She could do what she wanted if she completed certain tasks, and the tasks were simple enough, not to mention the rewards. Never before had she felt so close to being in the place of her childhood. One time she had been permitted to taste what she was carrying about it. It.. it, brought her back to a time and place that was akin to her childhood. A place of pleasure, a feeling of tranquillity and peace. When it wore off, though it reminded Jayne exactly of her passage into what he parents called the 'real' world. She would do anything to get back to that place again... anything. And so she stared at the teddy bear for it held the key. And who would suspect T'Loren anyway? She was such a goodie two shoes that no one would think that she was doing anything wrong. Jayne felt like laughing. Those adults, they thought they were so smart but they didn't know, they couldn't outsmart her. She looked at her tattoo which adorned the back of her left hand. It had her house symbol and crest. She took comfort in it, she was a member of something bigger, something greater. Greater than her simple plain mother. This was something truly worthwhile, and for the first time, Jayne liked being in the 'real' world. Now if only she'd been let to return. She glared at her mother. Yes, Vicki would pay. Jayne knew it. "We've arrived, you can transport over and your belongings will be transported directly to your quarters." Vicki nodded and thanked the pilot profusely and again apologised for Jayne's behaviour. She had long since given up on Jayne apologising for herself. And so they were transported to the customs area on Starbase Geneva. (Starbase Geneva, Customs deck, SPC Vicki Sevant, Jayne and T'Loren Sevant, 17.04) "And have you anything to declare" A woman in a high nasal tone spouted. "No, not that I'm aware of." Vicki said as she shot Jayne a warning glare. Jayne looked at her mother with boredom. This was boring, now a chase in the shuttle, that had been exciting. Jayne looked at her mother again very judgementally, she was missing everything. She didn't know what the good life was, she didn't know the meaning of excitement she didn't know how truly rich that life could be and she certainly didn't understand the meaning of family. Jayne looked at the crest on the back of her hand. That, was family. Jayne watched in disgust as her mother orchestrated the affairs of coming aboard. Everything went, without incident. Jayne silently cheered for joy. But it wasn't a super thrill, not like it had been the time she had snuck across the continent boarder on some planet in a garbage can, in the hopes of not being discovered. That was excitement. This, was nothing. Vicki glowered at Jayne. Jayne merely shrugged, her mother knew nothing. Absolutely nothing. "Thank you so much officer" Vicki had stated as she lead her two children down the hallway. She needed to get things settled, and also she needed some time to think. She took Jayne and Vicki and checked them into the centre. The lady at the front desk gave Jayne a sort of odd look. "Keep an extra close eye on that one, she likes to wander." Vicki stated "I assure you ma'am our child care centre has the finest security possible -" "Trust me, keep an eye on her, that hasn't stopped her before." Vicki interrupted. After T'Loren had given her mother a good bye hug and kiss, and had gone in to play and meet the children there, Jayne rolled her eyes in disgust and went over and sulked in a corner. **** (Starbase Geneva, Counsellor's office, ACOUNS Ensign (jg) Tap Roft, 17.19) Tap's first day did not require him to do nothing. It might not seem much, but his help was already called in to get to the bottom of Dr. du Pounte's odd behaviour. There was also a staff meeting, where - by coincidence - the station's new Captain announced that he was in command from this very day. ~I wonder if I should call it a day. Get a bite to eat. On the other hand; I haven't contributed any information to aid in Vladek's detective work. But will the Doc appreciate it if I try to squeeze answers from him at this hour (it can easily be quitting time for him already).~ "I'll sit here weighing up what to do until I'm not blue in the face any more, it won't get me anywhere." Tap said to himself, getting frustrated with his own aimless thoughts. Just then, like clockwork - to set Tap's mind back in normal motion - the door chime sounded. With a welcoming tone in his voice, Tap replied:" Come in." The door opened and a lady unfamiliar to Tap entered. "How may I be of help?" he said with a smile. <> (reply Vicky) (posted by Gordon Amp) **** (Starbase Geneva, Outside ACOUNS' office, SPC Vicki Sevant, 17.20) Vicki stood outside the ACOUNS' office. She sighed, she wasn't a fan of talking to counsellors in the first place but this was something that made her frantic, she was beside herself. Cally was going to be onboard the Nimitz and it was arriving in a few short days. What was she going to do? He was going to want to see his family.. not... as the way it was, she was certain. She had failed in so many ways. How, could she ?? She needed advice and this, seemed like the most logical place to turn. Taking a deep breath, she pressed the enunciator. <> (Reply Roft, any) (Posted by Katherine Mazurok) **** (Starbase Geneva - Guest Quarters - CO - Captain Aragorn - 17:55) Aragorn straightened his back as he opened the door to his new quarters. "I'm back!" he shouted, wondering where everybody was. "Hi, stranger," he heard Louise shout back from the kitchen. "You call this a decent time, then?" Luckily he heard her laugh, so he knew that it wasn't really meant. "Sorry, busy day at the office," he replied. (Reply Louise) (Starbase Geneva - outside Admiral's Module - CO - Captain Aragorn - 1859) A last check to make sure that his uniform was ok, Aragorn looked at the PADD's in his hand. He got the impression that the Admiral had not been too happy with his first day and he wondered if there would be anything he could do to lessen the Admiral's ire. But then again, there were some things that he had not been too hot about, either. ~That's what I'll do,~ he thought, ~frontal assault!~ He rang the doorbell and waited for the ok, to enter. When it finally came, Aragorn opened the door stepped in brusquely. Only to halt when he suddenly was surrounded by near darkness. "Admiral?" he asked, wondering if he had perhaps entered the wrong room. "I'm right here," he heard her say and following her voice, he could finally make the Admiral out, as she was lying on a sofa. Aragorn took a few steps closer and suddenly realised that the Admiral was not wearing a standard uniform. He frowned. He would never have changed into leisure wear when there was work to be done. But then again, the Admiral might have been brought up differently. Or perhaps something happened to her uniform and she had only that ... flimsy thing. That would account for the lights being so low. Straightening his back, Aragorn took two steps closer to the Admiral and regarded her for a moment. ~I'll have to get Louise one of them,~ he thought before he remembered why he was there. "Admiral! Now what the h**k is Starfleet playing it, not informing the command crew of this base of an event that could easily result in the complete destruction of this base!" Aragorn wanted to continue, but was cut short by the doorchime. "Come in, Number One!" he shouted. "You are right on time!" He turned to the Admiral. "since we were going to discuss base-business, I thought I'd better invite Commander Arianna as well." He heard the door open and Lise's voice saying: "Captain, Admi........"
